Poster mock up 4

Feedback:
- this poster has too much red on it, it doesnt look nice to look at
- to improve it i would remove the red and leave it with a black and white tone to it.

Poster mock up #2

Feedback:
- this poster looks good on the eye, i dont know whether it would look better without the red backing to it?
- the setting for the image is good and fits with the genre of song.

CD cover mock up #18

Feedback:
- this CD cover looks ok, but i think the fade of the image looks too obvious and doesnt look level with the rest of the cover.
- the way that merriweather fits across the slab of the bench is very effective

CD cover mock up #13

Feedback:
- this CD cover looks very effective in the way that it uses a similar colour scheme yet all the seperate colours stand out
- the location fits in with the genre of the song
- the layout of the overall cover is asthetically pleasing
- maybe the brightness of the "red" could be changed as it looks too bright compared to the rest of the cover.

Poster mock up #1

Feedback:
- the fact that the poster links with the previous CD cover is good
- i think it is too plain and doesnt resemble an artists poster
- it needs more information on it

CD cover mock up #10

Feedback:
- i like the fact that the image ties in with the colour scheme
- the title and writing fades in with the background too much and makes it hard to see

CD cover mock up #1

Feedback:
- i like the idea of the simple use of colour on a black background
- but it doesnt portray the story behind the song?
- i also think it will be hard to link the cover to a poster and music video if it is this simple

Change of plan for CD cover.

I am struggling to create mock up CD covers for my artist. The ones i have already created, mainly with large pictures, seem to be unprofessional. So, i have come up with some more minimalistic ideas, which i feel are effective and get the song name across to the audience really well. These will be posted over the next few days.

CD cover mock up 4.

Feedback:
- i like the way that this image has more colour than the others
- it looks more appealing
- the layout of the title is good but i think the font may be too "bulky" for the essence of the song

CD cover mock up 1

Feedback:
- the effect of a chilled atmosphere is good with the use of image.
- however, the overall cover looks too plain and simple, it doesnt attract an audience
- the use of colour in the song name is good and makes the name memorable

Unsure...

At the moment, i am unsure of whether or not to do the original(Daniel merriweather) version and use a male actor, or to do the Radio 1 live lounge cover by Shontelle and have a female actress. The reason i am unsure of this is because my male choice of actor is away at uni and only available at weekends, but my female actress isnt as confident in front of a camera and therefore the quality of the music video may be at risk.

Location for filming.

I have chosen my location for filming most of the video. The main parts of the video will be filmed on Oakfield Grove, this is because it has the appropriate props already in place for what i need(house, window, streetlight opposite). This is why i think the location is ideal. I will also be filming parts of the video on St.Davids way, as it is the opposite direction to Oakfield Grove, so it will show the actor walking away from the situation(as described in the song). I also plan to have happy, cheerful scenes to show the fun they have together, this will be filmed either at the grange, a picnic or just having general fun, then maybe knypersley pool. Im think i will film this part in both locations and see which fits best.
